Lil-Tex Restaurant

It maybe older and doesn't have the outside appealing look, but its down home country, the waitresses work hard and hustle each in their area. Always hot coffee, big portions, and friendly places. ADA accessible and a meeting room, sometimes live music. Masons, quarterback clubs, eastern star, bass boaters and more use this place. Many meals at 10 dollars with huge portions, catfish, chicken fried steak, and morning dishes always great.

Great little spot. The waitress was super sweet and service was excellent. The decor was nice and fit the theme " Texas ". Parking was good. The restaurant was very clean. The value for the food was spot on. If your ever in Copperas cove, stop at "Lil Tex"!!

This was a nice find. Great little hometown restaurant with a laid back mom and pop feel. The waitress were running like I've never seen. They were all over the place making sure everyone was taken care of and getting what they ordered. The food came out fast considering how busy they were. Had the 2 eggs scrambled, bacon, grits, home fries, and toast. Everything was yummy but the home fries weren't my favorite. Over all this is a wonderful little places that makes you feel like family. We'll definitely be back soon.

Love this place. I always stop in for breakfast whenever we are in copperas cove and the food is plentiful and good. The customer service is great, and sometimes it is very busy, so please have a little patience with the service time but it doesn't take too long for a good meal. Hostesses are friendly and attentive. Awesome biscuits and gravy.

Server and other employees were pleasant and friendly. We self-seated at a table larger than necessary (tables small enough for two patrons weren't available). Bacon and cheese omelet was tasty, as well as the hashbrowns. Dining partner noted that the "skillet" they ordered should have been served in a skillet. The coffee was great-not too strong, not too weak. Sugar and creamer were on the table. The biscuits were bland, even with butter, but edible. Lunch/dinner options sounded really good. We will return in the future!

We had the all you can eat catfish. Honestly we only had one serving. They give you a huge helping of catfish & hushpuppies. The staff is very sweet & helpful! Melissa was amazing! The sides we had was the pinto beans, Coleslaw, baked potato, they were all good. We also had cherry cobbler for dessert, very yummy! The whipped cream tastes homemade!

Great spot with good food, generous portions, and solid service. Everything came out fresh and flavorful, and the portions were more than enough for the price. The staff was friendly and attentive, making the experience even better. Definitely a place worth coming back to.
